An app for combat tactics

An unexpected entrant into the Apps war, is an organization with unrivaled skills in real war- the US Army.

In an effort to arm the soldiers with information, US Army is coming up with a smartphone the soldiers could use in combat/ other situations. The smart phone is said to have several military specific and other applications the soldiers could use to learn, troubleshoot, collaborate using wiki type tools, and even plan tactics on the battlefield. Age of Empires, anyone?
