Authority and Decision Making - Youtube video of an experiment based on the original Stanley Milgram experiment

I recently stumbled upon this youtube video of a re-enactment of the original Milgram Experiment, and I think it is a great way to illustrate how hearing from a proper authority can skew human decision making. This psychological behavior which was proved way back in 1963, along with other persuasion rules like
  • The Law of Reciprocity
  • Commitment and Consistency
  • Social Proof
  • Liking
  • Authority
  • Scarcity
  • Conclusion
are still highly relevant today in any form of selling, and there is no reason why you shouldn't be utilizing this in your selling experience. Needless to say, these would provide strong cases of persuasion to the user, and give that much needed last push to buy your online product.
